More proof to that with tonight's game against Orlando. Blowing a 21 point lead and losing by 18. And another drama-filled article:

http://defpen.com/lebron-james-yell-curse-cavs-management/

There's really not many options for Bron to go to. There's 2 dark horses with good futures but...

1. Philly. Bron's pal Simmons is there. But there's too much invested in that young core.

2. Miami. Another bright future for the Heat. But there's still heat between Bron and Pat Riley. Don't forget Bron's motivation for winning the title with the Cavs. And like Gilbert, he would probably clash with Riles if he returns.

So I still think some sort of manuerving happens, and Bron stays.

LeBron in the first half: 16 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists
LeBron in the second half: 9 points, 9 rebounds, 0 assists

In other news, Giannis jumped right the hell over Tim Hardaway Jr.'s head and entire body for a dunk. In related news, France has granted THJ honorary citizenship.

And here we go.

Cavs so far, get today Clarkson, Larry Nace, Rodney Hood and George Hill.

And they get rid of Isaiah, Channing Frye, Crowder, Derrick Rose, and Shumpert. And also Dwyane Wade to his former team, the Heat. Nearly everyone they acquired in the offseason is gone already.

Fultz may not play again this season:

One giant mess.

Well its one game. But the new-look Cavs looked pretty good today. Against the top team in the East in the Celtics. Clarkson had some good moments today, 17 points. And I cant remember a time in the past year or so, before today, that Bron looked spirited on the bench, watching his teammates thrive.

They have another test Tuesday against a very good team in OKC.

One giant mess.

More about the continuing saga of Markelle Fultz, still one of the most bizarre stories from this season.

What has really been going on with Markelle Fultz?

Last night, Steve Kerr let some of his veteran players run the huddle for him, in a blowout win against the Suns. Predictably, the Suns were not amused:

https://www.si.com/nba/2018/02/13/suns-call-warriors-coaching-teammates-disrespectful

Joe Torre used to let some of his veteran players take over the team from time to time. Except that was the last days of the regular season as his Yankees were in the postseason. This is two months before the end of the season.

And the new-look Cavs are 2-0 now with a big win over OKC. Nance and Clarkson had a lot of big plays tonight.

I still think its the Celtics followed by the Cavs and Raptors in the East.

Well the new-look All-Star game sure didnt feel like a typical all-star game. Espically in the final frame. Defense took over. Very fun ending.

Best part was the budding rivalry between. Embiid and Westbrook. Now that Durant and Westbrook have buried the hatchet, its time for a new feud to captivate the nation. even if they only face each other twice a year.

I haven't read it yet, but SI just posted an explosive article about the workplace culture of the Dallas Mavericks.

Exclusive: Inside the Corrosive Workplace Culture of the Dallas Mavericks

Here is the statement that was released by the Mavericks right before the article went live.

Given the article, the first paragraph of the Mavs statement isn't just bullshit, but a knowing lie by the Mavs.

Quote:
In the summer of 1998, the Mavericks conducted an internal investigation of Ussery after several female employees made complaints of inappropriate workplace behavior.

Ussery was retained, but shortly thereafter the entire Mavericks workforce received revamped employee handbooks that included a new sexual harassment policy. Buddy Pittman, a new head of H.R., was hired by the Mavs that summer as well, no coincidence according to multiple team sources. “They basically brought [Pittman] in to save T from himself,” says one former employee, referring to Ussery by his nickname. She noted as well that Pittman’s cubicle—he did not have a private workspace—was within earshot of Ussery’s office.

When asked at the time about his alleged misconduct by the local media, Ussery deflected and responded tersely: "It's been addressed. I really don't want to elaborate any further. What we’re focused on is building a great organization. That was and is our focus.”

This investigation hardly curtailed Ussery’s career momentum. In February 1999, he received a three–year contract extension. When Mark Cuban purchased the Mavericks in 2000, Ussery remained the team president.

Only learned in the past few days when his actions were investigated back in 1998... 20 freaking years ago?

It's pretty damning that he was allowed to run the Mavs for 18 years, whereas Under Armour cut him loose after just 2 months.

There was also this, this week regarding Mark Cuban:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2018/02/20/mark-cuban-admits-that-tanking-is-the-best-option-for-his-18-40-mavericks

He was fined $600,000 for those comments.

We may not see Kawhi Leonard this season.

What a sort of strange situation.
