"Another commonly over looked point is the fact we have no pension. Most normal jobs have a pension to look forward to, to help you survive during retirement. In wrestling you get nothing, you are sent out to pasture and dont even get free Pay Per Views. With no outside help, what so ever, wrestlers really need to look out for them selves financially. We need to put away enough money to live on for the rest of our lives. If you retire at 45 or 50 there is an awful lot of years left for living. I suppose you could argue we could get a real job after wrestling, but after 20 years on the road taking bumps, youre not exactly qualified for much, other than a booking job and there are only three of those left in the country. Im not even going to talk about the fact that my career could be over next month, next week, or even tomorrow with one bad bump, and I will receive no disability benefits what so ever."
